I love how the post-iTunes media environment has promoted a lot of new and increasingly oddball formats for the electronic release of music. For a while there, when Bandcamp first launched, it seemed like the five-song EP was the industry standard for making a statement. Now distribution’s all over the place, and that’s not a bad thing. Here we’ve got a new, free single release from Australia’s Rachel Haircut, formerly Paqman. Nominally nu-rave or seapunk, these guys just zipped up two songs in .wav form and made them available.
