Eola – Market

I was surprised when Owen and Beru told me that some kid, Edwin White, was buying up outgenned protocol droids by the bushel—not that the Jawas are one to turn down a buck. Turns out he’s a composer, been retuning these old junkers to sing like the poorliest gospel choir you ever heard. Got to admit there’s a kind of beauty to their massed voices, though, looping and swelling in a fuzzy, mechanical way. It has a kind of patchwork quality that reminds me of a world music album from old Earth, My Life in the Bush of Ghosts by Eno and Byrne. Been hearing that White also records with this brother as Tonstartssbandt. Now I ask you, what the hell kind of name is that? Sounds like a Gungan with that venereal disease that rots yer tongue off.
