Every so often, pop returns to elemental myth. This era it began in earnest with the sacrifice at the core of Florence and the Machine’s “Rabbit Heart.” Here, Lykke Li taps into her water mana to hold this torch song aloft. But Tyler counters with an avalanche, cutting off the normal flow until the fluid settles, the bass ripples on an oxbow lake. Careful near the surface; there’s a dark shadow underneath.
